Announcing 2017 Goldman Fellows

Congratulations to the 2017 Goldman Fellows! The Goldman Fellows Program, funded by the Joyce and Irving Goldman Family Foundation, is a competitive fellowship providing undergraduate students with a $5,000 summer stipend for a community-based internship in St. Louis, a distinctive cohort experience, and exposure to St. Louis culture, neighborhoods, and issues.

Fellows will spend the summer in St. Louis and work at the following organizations:

  • Eleni Andris: Preservation Research Office
    Eleni is a sophomore double majoring in architecture in the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts and American culture studies in the College of Arts & Sciences.
  • Garrett Arosemena Ott: El Sistema and Orchestrating Diversity
    Garrett is a fourth year student studying neurobiology, physics, and music. In addition to a bachelor’s degree, he is pursuing a master’s degree in biomedical engineering in the College of Engineering.
  • Akshat Goel: Johego
    Akshat is a sophomore double majoring in economics in the Olin Business School and systems engineering in the School of Engineering & Applied Science.
  • Jordan Hughes: Office of the Federal Public Defenders
    Jordan is a sophomore majoring in international area studies in the College of Arts & Sciences.
  • Jenny Lin: Health Literacy Missouri
    Jenny is a junior majoring in biology in the College of Arts & Sciences.
  • Jada McDonald: Williams and Associates, Inc.
    Jada is a junior majoring in philosophy-neuroscience-psychology: cognitive neuroscience in the College of Arts & Sciences.
  • Noah Offenkrantz: Office of Congressman Lacy Clay
    Noah is a freshman majoring in environmental science and political science in the College of Arts & Sciences.
  • Thwisha Sakloak: Planned Parenthood
    Thwisha is a sophomore majoring in biology in the College of Arts &Sciences.
  • Hannah Schanzer: Missouri Coalition for the Environment
    Hannah is a sophomore majoring in environmental policy in the College of Arts & Sciences.
  • Serena Silver: Laumeier Sculpture Park, Education Department
    Serena is a junior majoring in fine art in the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts.
  • Sukruth Shashikumar: Casa de Salud
    Sukruth is a junior majoring in Spanish, biochemistry, and molecular biology in the College of Arts & Sciences.
