The BIOME removes barriers for children from underserved communities by providing highly engaging STEAM-focused enrichment experiences like animation, robotics, and video game design. We believe that youth from under-served, low-income communities need opportunities to develop the knowledge, skills, resiliency, and self-esteem that will help them succeed in school and in a 21st century, knowledge-based, global economy. Skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity are essential for success, as are the tenants of a growth mindset, such as taking on challenges and overcoming obstacles.
The BIOME will be hosting a fundraising gala and auction event on Saturday, February 25th from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Grand Hall on Chouteau in St. Louis, 2319 Chouteau Ave St. Louis, MO 63103.
They are seeking multiple volunteers to assist with this event as over 300 people will be attending. The volunteers will be helping with registration and banking, greeting guests, selling raffle tickets any other jobs that will need to be done during the event.
