You are invited to a special Meet the Leader series event featuring award-winning journalist, Claude R. Marx, AB ’83. Marx is a reporter for MLex and FTC Watch, both online publications of LexisNexis, where he focuses on antitrust and digital risk issues. Marx will discuss his professional pathway and civic engagement interests.

Bio:

Claude Marx has had extensive experience in the field, including working as a reporter and political correspondent for the Associated Press in Washington, D.C.; Credit Union Times; and the Arkansas Democrat. While in Arkansas, he was on a team of reporters that won the AP Managing Editors Award for its coverage of Governor Clinton’s final re-election campaign. He has also been published in The Washington Post, The Chicago Tribune, The Boston Globe, The Claremont Review of Books, and The Weekly Standard. In addition, he has written chapters in two books edited by renowned University of Virginia political scientist Larry Sabato and is currently writing a biography of William Howard Taft.

Marx earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from Washington University in St. Louis before doing graduate work in American government at Georgetown University.
