Volunteer Day: WashU Votes x Saving Washington Park Cemetery

Join WashU Votes in collaboration with the Saving Washington Park Cemetery group to help protect and restore the historic Washington Park Cemetery. Located in Berkeley, Mo., Washington Park Cemetery historically served Black families in the North St. Louis community.

Come for a tour of Washington Park Cemetery, where one of the leaders of the Save Washington Park Cemetery group will explain the history of the cemetery, what has happened to it, and what they are working to do now.

Then, if volunteers would like, they can stay and help work! The work involves physical labor, such as digging, searching for headstones, pulling up headstones, and landscaping.
