The Wellston Loop Family Reunion is a sidewalk exhibition of contemporary photographs and historic documents highlighting the community made up of the Wellston Loop, Hamilton Heights and Wells/Goodfellow neighborhood. The exhibition will include free refreshments, music and videos. It will be held on Saturday, November 21 from 1-3 p.m. at the former J.C. Penney Department Store at 5930 Dr. Martin Luther King Drive, St. Louis. Andrew Raimist, Lecturer for the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts, is organizing this event with Bob Hansman, students in their Community Building course, and important neighborhood stakeholders. The exhibition is collaborative and open-ended; members of the community are encouraged to share stories, photographs or videos of the neighborhood from any era. You can also get involved by helping to photograph the neighborhood, conduct interviews or contribute other materials relevant to the history and condition of the community.
