Save the date! Civic Scholars 10-Year Celebration and Fall Civic Kickoff Retreat. September 9 to 11, St. Louis, MO

We know what you’re thinking, because we said the same thing: There’s no way it’s been 10 years of Civic Scholars already!

And yet, here we are—ringing in the 10th class of WashU students learning the skills to bring their passion for civic engagement into their communities.

What better way for alumni to celebrate their experience—and for current Civic Scholars to find inspiration for the future—than to bring everyone to St. Louis for one fun-filled weekend?

On Friday, Sept. 9, Civic Scholars alumni are invited to a weekend celebration filled with a variety of social and civic activities in St. Louis and at a nature-based retreat center. Think of it as “Camp Civic,” where the late summer magic of sleep-away camp meets civically minded dialogue and ideation.

At the same time, the current classes of Civic Scholars will be on their annual retreat—with opportunities for alumni and current Scholars to meet and share their experiences.

This page will be updated as details and logistics are finalized.
