Faculty Workshop: Community-Engaged Teaching

  • March 24, 2017 • 12 PM – 1:30 PM
  • DUC 276

Community-Engaged Teaching (CET) is a powerful way to integrate real-world experiences into your courses, while connecting your work to the St. Louis community.  In this workshop, faculty will learn the nuts and bolts of CET pedagogy, hear about CET experiences from a panel of faculty, a student, and a community partner, and learn about resources and ways to get CET-related support.  Faculty who are interested in working with the community as part of their courses are encouraged to attend and explore the possibilities and benefits.

Presenters will be Molly Metzger, Ph.D., an Assistant Professor in the Brown School, and Beth Martin, Senior Lecturer in Environmental Studies.

Participants are welcome to bring a lunch; beverages and snacks will be provided.
