“Fake News, Propaganda, and Misinformation: Learning to Critically Evaluate Media Sources”

A recent study by Stanford University revealed that students and professors alike have trouble navigating what information is true online. Join Melissa Vetter (Biology, Psych and PNP Librarian) and Amanda Albert (Information Literacy Coordinator) for a workshop on how to distinguish “fake news”; this event is open to students, faculty and community partners/members and it serves as a great reminder that being able to evaluate information for yourself is critical to being engaged and involved in your community.
