Advancing STEM Education with Studio: TESLA

September 1, 10am- 3pm

Hosted by Studio: TESLA, an undergraduate student group

Studio: TESLA has partnered with the St. Louis alumni chapters of Kappa Alpha Psi and Omega Psi Phi, two international African American fraternities, to provide a day of hands-on engineering design challenges to local middle school students. Studio: TESLA strives to teach Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) principles through fun and engaging projects. By partnering college student mentors with local middle schoolers for a day of design and problem solving we hope to build community ties and inspire underserved students to see themselves as creative leaders capable of overcoming challenge. Join us for Meet St. Louis where we will be teaching teamwork and design through a day of catapult construction at the Omega Center in North St. Louis!

This excursion will be available for up to 12 students.
