One Square Mile: A Legacy of Black Excellence in St. Louis

The Ville Neighborhood in North St. Louis is home to some of the most notable black figures from the 20th century. Rich in history and culture, it is a prime example of black excellence despite institutional barriers. Students will hear from lifelong residents on a walking tour and participate in a service project with an area non-profit organization.  

This excursion will be available for up to 25 students.

Physical Requirements: This is a walking tour and will be at least an hour long. The walking pace is typically mild and can accommodate those with physical limitations but may not be comfortable.
