Sounds of St. Louis
Sounds of St. Louis provides music education for students in St. Louis who do not have access to opportunities in music and raise awareness about the importance of music. They work with students from all backgrounds regardless of their race, ethnicity, class, gender, or disabilities and strive to cultivate music into a universal language that it is supposed to be. Sounds of St. Louis volunteers teach musicianship, music history, and theory, and offer training on instruments of all kinds. Instructions are not restricted to any kind of music and are grounded in the belief that there are various forms of education and different types of learners. Sounds of St. Louis plans on translating their mission into reality by partnering with other organizations and facilities within and outside of campus to broaden our impact within the greater St. Louis community.
