Urban Farming: Sowing the Seeds of a Brighter St. Louis

September 1, 9am- 4pm

Hosted by the College of Arts and Sciences

Get your hands dirty while making a difference with an urban farming experience in downtown St. Louis. We’ll ride metro-transit to an urban farm run by Good Life Growing, “a community-based organization that is focused on combating urban decay and food insecurity in North St. Louis.” At the farm, you’ll pitch in and volunteer while learning more about your new city, urban farming, and other ways you can get involved in sustainability during your time at WashU. Along the way, you’ll also make new friends!

This excursion will be available to up to 15 students
