Join the STL PrideCenter Helpline as a Volunteer

Interested in improving the lives of LGBTQIA+ folks in St. Louis by connecting them to identity-affirming resources? Join the PrideCenter Helpline as a volunteer! Free training, meals, and metro passes will be provided over the summer. Volunteers gain valuable helpline work experience, peer counseling skills, and crisis intervention techniques. You also join a supportive, empowering community of empathetic, dedicated LGBTQIA+ persons and allies!

If selected, you will join the pioneering class of PrideCenter Helpline volunteers in St. Louis. Once launched, the Helpline will provide free, confidential, LGBTQIA-affirming emotional support, crisis intervention, resources, and referrals, operating Wednesday through Sunday, 12-7pm. Our goal is to strengthen the St. Louis LGBTQIA+ community, meet the community’s emotional health needs, and connect callers to LGBTQIA-affirming resources.

All LGBTQIA+ persons and allies 18 years or older are welcome to apply. We value a diverse volunteer pool in order to best serve our callers. We seek empathetic individuals who are good listeners and interested in serving the St. Louis LGBTQIA+ community.

To be considered for membership in the Helpline, apply here. The application deadline has been extended to Friday, April 25.
