Living Lands & Waters, a nonprofit river clean-up organization, is hosting its annual Alternative Spring Break program. There are still open spots for week 2 and 3 of the program (March 13-17 and March 20-24), so sign up now as a group or individual. This program is free to participate in and is based out of Memphis, TN. There is a highly discounted lodging rate of $119 per student per week at a local, downtown hotel, as well as six $500 need-based scholarships for students. To date, Living Lands & Waters Alternative Spring Break program has worked with over 1,000 students to remove over 1 million pounds of trash from U.S. waterways.
