A recent cover story of Student Life profiled the institute’s voter registration and engagement efforts. The institute announced its registration of 3,608 students through the TurboVote platform, which placed WashU third in the nation among universities using the platform, and second among universities of similar size.
“The idea that issues don’t matter to millennials is somewhat shortsighted because these things are all about our future,” said [Voter Engagement Fellow] Cassie Klosterman. “A number of issues directly impact millennials, sometimes in ways that we don’t directly think about.”
