Dr. Jillian A. Martin, PhD is the Assistant Director for Strategy and Evaluation at the Gephardt Institute. Jillian leads the evaluation, assessment, strategic development, and organizational learning activities for the institute. To support this work, Jillian supervises Master Research Fellows in conducting literature reviews, evaluation-assessment instrument development, data analysis, data tracking, and reporting. Jillian began her work at WashU and the Gephardt Institute in July 2017 and has experience as a social services case manager and in higher education working as a student affairs practitioner in student activities/diversity initiatives, and residence life. She completed her PhD in Counseling and Student Personnel Services and Masters in College Student Affairs Administration from the University of Georgia. She received her undergraduate degree in Biopsychology from Oglethorpe University.
Jillian is from Newnan, GA and enjoys watching sports, reading, traveling, visiting libraries, exploring breweries, and finding new adventures. Jillian is passionate about using data, information, and analytics to inform the institute’s strategic priorities and to communicate the impact of civic and community engagement at WashU and the greater St. Louis community.
