Maggie Lu, she/her

Maggie Lu (she/her) is a Film and Media Intern for the Gephardt Institute. In this role, Maggie gathers video footage from Gephardt hosted events and edit short form content for social media. Maggie majors in Sociology and American Culture Studies and will graduate with the Class of 2026.

Before this job, Maggie was a Marketing and Communications intern at the International Institute of STL working on Festival of Nations promotional material, as well as a social media marketing intern for WashU. 

Maggie is particularly interested in racial justice and immigration advocacy. She believes STL is better because we welcome immigrants into our community and we become stronger and more multicultural because of our new neighbors. Maggie was drawn to the Gephardt because the value they place on sustainable mutually beneficial relationship development in STL. 

Outside of work and school Maggie enjoys powerlifting, knitting, and hosting dinner parties!
