Marketing and Communications Writer Intern

Marley Wiemers (she/her) is the Marketing and Communications Writer Intern with at the Gephardt Institute. Through this role, she supports civic and community impact narrative storytelling by writing and developing creative content for the institute.

Marley is double majoring in Psychological & Brain Sciences and Women, Gender, & Sexuality Studies, with a minor in Anthropology: Global Health and Environment. Outside of the institute, she volunteers in the community with Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity, has worked to foster open, political dialogue on campus through her role as President of WashU’s International Relations Council, and has previously served as the Science Writing Intern with Washington University Medical School.

Marley was drawn to Gephardt because she believes in the value of community engagement, viewing the community as a source of power that is instrumental to organizing for change. She is passionate about collective action and views civic engagement as key to a strong democracy. In her free time, Marley enjoys going on walks and trying out new recipes with friends.
