Andrew W. McCune, LA86, is a Chicago-based partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP and focuses his practice on private equity and corporate transactions as one of the co-heads of its international private equity practice. He has been recognized by Chambers USA, Legal 500, The Best Lawyers in America, and Illinois Super Lawyers as a leader in his field. Andrew is a WashU undergrad alum, married to a WashU undergrad alum, Nina Cadsawan McCune (LA ’86), and the father of two boys, Colin (currently a WashU senior) and Ethan.
McCune’s community involvement has included a number of positions with Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, including Chair of the Development Council and Chair of the Governing Counsel, as well as being a member to the Board of the Advocate Charitable Foundation and member of the Advocate Presidents Council. He is also active in his church and held a number of positions and offices.
McCune received a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science, summa cum laude, from Washington University in St. Louis in 1986, and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Omicron Delta Epsilon, Pi Sigma Alpha, Lock & Chain, Thurtene, the Campus Y, and a student representative to the Board of Trustees. He received his juris doctorate from the University of Chicago Law School in 1989.
