Rachel Roberts

Resident at Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis

Rachel is from Weston, Connecticut and is majoring in anthropology and communication design with a minor in psychological and brain sciences. “Art has always been my means of community engagement,” she shared, “but this passion was particularly strengthened by the SIT Arts and Social Change program that I was involved with in Prague. I learned about the role of arts in social movements and dissent across Czech history and pursued my own arts-based research project.”

Rachel will be in residence at CAM and collaborate with staff on the 1-Mile Radius Initiative. She looks forward to applying the skills and knowledge she has gained to the specific context of St. Louis. By working with CAM, she hopes to develop an understanding of how to use art to connect with St. Louis citizens in meaningful and sustainable ways.
