Tosha Phonix

Food Justice Organizer, Missouri Coalition for the Environment

Tosha Phonix is the Food Justice Organizer for Missouri Coalition for the Environment. In this role, Tosha works with communities North of Delmar and Metro East with the mission to improve food access and community ownership and representation in local food systems.

Tosha was a 2018-2019 Neighborhood Leadership Academy & Neighborhood Leadership Fellow and named a 2019 Women’s Earth Alliance & Sierra Clubs U.S. Grassroots Accelerator for Women Environmental Leaders. Additionally, she was featured in the Environmental Racism report released by Washington University.

Tosha is a mother and urban farmer. She oversees her mosque urban farm and works with her son’s school teaching urban agriculture. She is also a Green Schools Quest Mentor through the U.S. Green Building Council – Missouri Gateway Chapter.
