Elaheh Khazi, class of 2027, hopes to major in Global Studies or History and minor in Legal Studies or Spanish in the College of Arts & Sciences. She is interested in immigration law and hopes to continue her volunteering efforts as a St. Louis Fellow with St. Louis nonprofits that serve the migrant community.

WashU Votes Marketing and Communications Chair

Elaheh has been involved with WashU Votes since her first semester on campus. In high school, she was very active in advocacy work in her school, town, and the Bay Area region, as she served as the President of the Bay Area Student Activists (BAStA) organization and founded her own city’s and school’s chapter of the organization. In addition to being involved with BAStA, she was also a representative and Media Director for GenerationUp (GENup), a nonprofit that works on educational equity and activism.

Her passion for being involved civically continues here at WashU as she is involved with WashU Votes, the Gephardt Institute’s Student Advisory Council, etc. She hopes to be able to build voter engagement with WashU Votes and the student community through her role with social media publicity. Reach out to her for any questions about WashU Votes’ social media platforms, joining WashU Votes, etc.
