Election Day is fast approaching. The Gephardt Institute encourages you to have a plan.
Make sure you:
- Know what’s on the ballot! Visit Vote 411 for a guide. You can’t look at your phone in the polling place so use scrap paper for notes.
- Know where your polling place is! Go to the Missouri Secretary of State website or check out the map below. Important Note: Only students living on campus and registered as voters in St. Louis County can vote at the athletic complex. Off campus students, including students living in the lofts have different off campus polling places.
- Decide when you’re going to the polls! Set a reminder and bring a friend. Polls are open from 6am-7pm.
On Tuesday, November 8, you can have an impact not only on the presidential election but also on a number of very close state and local races. Commemorate your voting experience by stopping by the Athletic complex from 11am-2pm to enjoy a social media pop-up tent, games, and cake pops or by joining us for an election results watch party in Tisch Commons any time after 7pm.
If you are voting absentee, send in your ballot soon and check your state’s deadline here. If you need a stamp for your ballot, feel free to stop by the Gephardt Institute for Civic and Community Engagement in Danforth University Center 150.
At the Gephardt Institute we believe voting is an essential form of civic engagement and we strive to ensure students have the resources they need to be informed voters who can confidently cast their ballot. If any issues should arise on Election Day, please feel free to reach out to us at WashUVotes@wustl.edu or call us at (314)935-5599.
