Alexsis Tapia Vasquez, class of 2026, is from Maryland and is majoring in Psychology and double minoring in Sociology and Latin American Studies in the College of Arts & Sciences. He is interested in working at the intersections of mental health and advocacy work and hopes to learn from organizers striving to make mental health resources equitable for people in St. Louis this summer.

Alexsis has been a part of WashU Votes since his first year at WashU and on the executive board since his sophomore year. Alexsis is passionate about bringing awareness to the inequities marginalized communities face when seeking access to voting. He hopes to bring this passion to campus and ensure voting is inclusive and equitable for other students. He is excited to take on this new position on the executive board.
