Matthew Boyd
Fox-Clark Civic Scholar
Matthew Boyd 24′ is a Fox-Clark Civic Scholar from St. Louis, Missouri. He is majored in environmental policy with a minor in sociology in the College of Arts & Sciences. Matthew is interested in combating environmental racism in the St. Louis area with an emphasis on outreach and engagement.
For his Civic Summer, Matthew worked with the St. Louis Zoning Atlas (STLZA) led by Professor Kiara Wyndham-Douds. The STLZA is working to collect and standardize zoning ordinances in the St. Louis area in order to answer questions on how zoning might be related to racial and class segregation. After graduation, Matthew hopes to work in housing research.
