Vy Nguyen

Vy Nguyen, class of 2026, is a Civic Scholar from Derby, Kansas majoring in Anthropology on the Global Health and Environment track with a minor in Writing. She is interested in the role that personal narratives play in shaping community health and both the provision and expansion of affordable preventive care at the local, state, and federal levels.
As a St. Louis Fellow in 2023, Vy Nguyen interned at the St. Louis County Department of Public Health, and in conjunction with the WashU Infectious Disease division and the St. Louis City Department of Health, she project-managed the regional Congenital Syphilis Review Board and synthesized recommendations to bridge the gap between strategy and implementation.
