Civic Action Week: Care as Protest: Screen-printing, food, and togetherness

October 16, 2023
9:00 am - 10:30 am
Jordan Plaza at Sam Fox

Care As Protest is a screen-printing project exploring activism through acts of care for community members. An act of protest can be as simple as countering capitalism and offering things to others free of charge. Radical care for others joins in spirit with many previous grassroots artists and art projects that have recognized that the labor of caring for others is vital to community resilience.

Come by this event to learn more about screen-printing and pick up a live screen-printed bandana and edible screen-printed tortilla. Free food is an act of care!

This event is hosted in collaboration with Professor Sage Dawson and the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts

RSVP is requested for event planning purposes, however this is a first come first serve event. Please arrive on time to guarantee participation. We will accept drop-ins and may run out of supplies.
