WHEN: Thursday, Feb. 20, 5 – 8:30 p.m.
WHERE: Brown 116
HOSTED BY: Pi Sigma Alpha (@washupisig) and Alpha Psi Lambda (@apsi_wustl)
Join us for a special screening of Borderlands: The Line Within as part of WashU’s Civic Action Week. Hosted by Pi Sigma Alpha, the Political Science Honors Society, and Alpha Psi Lambda, the Co-ed Latine-interest fraternity (Alpha Mu Chapter), this event will explore the complexities of immigration, identity, and the human experience at the U.S.-Mexico border.
Following the screening, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session with the filmmakers, fostering dialogue and reflection on these critical issues. The event will also provide resources to connect participants with the Immigration Coalition in St. Louis, offering pathways to engage in advocacy, volunteer opportunities, and community support.
The event is open to all, and we are working to ensure accessibility, including potential ticket sponsorships for those in need. Don’t miss this thought-provoking opportunity to engage with critical social issues and make a difference in your community!
What is Civic Action Week?
From Feb. 17-23, 2025, Civic Action Week will highlight civic engagement opportunities throughout Washington University. All week across campus, different student groups, faculty, staff, and community partners will host events and other opportunities to engage. A special thanks to our sponsor, the Women’s Society of Washington University, for their financial support of this endeavor.
