Michelle He

Michelle He is a Fox-Clark Civic Scholar from Port Orchard, WA studying microbiology and urban studies in the College of Arts & Sciences. She is interested in exploring the connection between social determinants of health and infectious disease and addressing health disparities in infectious disease.

For her civic summer, Michelle worked jointly with the St. Louis County Sexual Health Clinic and Washington University’s Center for Community Health Partnerships and Research. She helped plan, conduct, and analyze interviews of St. Louis residents’ experience seeking sexual healthcare to inform the development of a new STI clinic in North County St. Louis.
