St. Francis Xavier College Church’s Outreach Program is the service and justice arm of the Catholic parish on Saint Louis University’s campus. The program is seeking a summer associate AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer to join a creative, nimble, and dedicated team.
College Church’s Outreach Program provides direct assistance with Missouri State IDs and birth certificates to people experiencing poverty and homelessness. While the program is currently closed, they plan to reopen over the summer to offer services in new and creative ways. The program is seeking a VISTA to help execute a plan to provide accessible ID and birth certificate assistance to the St. Louis region, as well as to address systemic barriers to obtaining official identification for people with limited resources.

- This position will serve for eight weeks through the summer months, starting in early June. The position is paid $479 bi-weekly, totaling around $1,916 for the eight week commitment.
- After successfully completing a term of service, Summer Associates may receive a Segal AmeriCorps Education Award of $1,311.11 which can be used to pay for college or student loans, or an end-of-service cash stipend of $276.64.
