Civic Action Week: Run24 Mindful One-Miler

October 19, 2023
5:00 pm - 5:30 pm
South 40 Clocktower Patio

The Run24 Mindful One-Miler is an opportunity to recharge and reconnect. Running even just one mile can boost you mood, reduce stress, improve focus, and enhance mental well-being.

Join us for a lap around campus and embrace the potential of a single mile. Every step is a testament to the synergy of body, mind, and nature, proving that even a short distance holds boundless benefits.

Even if you don’t like to run, don’t have the right shoes, don’t think you have the time, join us anyway. We will make it fun and promise to leave nobody behind.

Studies have shown that caring for the emotional well-being of change-makers empowers them to innovate and collaborate effectively, leading to more potent solutions for social and environmental challenges. Local runner, influencer, and founder of St. Louis Run Crew, Ricky Hughes, will be joining to share reflections on this topic.

And for those of you who are planning to join Run24 later in the semester as we plan to run one mile every hour for 24 hours, this will be a great opportunity to meet everyone and get a sense of the course.
