Building a better future for our communities requires imagining realities beyond what current exists in the world. Being able to see, craft, and share a clear future-oriented vision requires exercising our abilities to imagine, create, and play. Doing so in community further expands the possibilities of what might emerge. Eager to get started?
On Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., the Gephardt Institute is thrilled to host Javyn Solomon, an interdisciplinary creative and designer who created Loutopia, a project looks to imagine a St. Louis where public art, nature, and sustainable systems meet at the intersection of intentional design, creating a city that works for all people. Solomon will lead us in a Civic Skill Building Workshop focused on futurist imagining. Join us to explore the themes of creativity, art, design, community, and social change while learning more about Solomon’s work in St. Louis.
This event is co-sponsored by the Office for Socially Engaged Practice and Master of Urban Design program at the Sam Fox School.
