Join us for a two-part series on Community Engagement. This training is intended for WashU students.
The two, 2-hour sessions will be focused on developing community partnerships that are mutually beneficial, considering how social identities and systemic inequities affect community engagement and understanding a strengths-based perspective. Students will be invited to reflect on how their particular student group is responding to systemic inequities, evaluate their community partnership, and be introduced to tools to align group values with the ways in which the group engages. We realize many people are struggling with Zoom fatigue and have built-in breaks throughout the sessions.
- Session #1: Friday, September 24th from 3-5pm
- Session #2: Friday, October 1st from 3-5pm
A second set will be offered later in the semester. Dates forthcoming.
