Engaging St. Louis: A Beat Therapy Visit to Kingdom House

Join Beat Therapy WashU on a trip to Kingdom House! As a music-based community service group, we volunteer regularly with Kingdom House––a non-profit organization that works to empower economically-disadvantaged individuals and families in the area. On this excursion, we will participate in hands-on volunteer work and receive a tour of the facilities, as well as have the opportunity to ask a staff member questions about Kingdom House’s programs. We will then continue our exploration of St. Louis with lunch in the beautiful Lafayette Park (lunch will be provided!). By the end of the program, we hope that students will have a better understanding of Beat Therapy, Kingdom House, and the many other civic engagement opportunities at WashU and beyond. 

This excursion will be available for up to 8 students.

Physical Requirements: Students should be comfortable with light manual labor.
