The Missouri College Advising Corps (MCAC), headquartered at MU, will hire recent graduates from any institution to serve as full-time, near-peer College Advisers in underserved high schools in Kansas City, Springfield, Saint Louis, and South Missouri. Advisers are full-time AmeriCorps members and assist first-generation-college, low-income, and underrepresented students and their families with navigating the college planning, admissions, and financing processes with the ultimate goal of increasing college-going rates in MCAC partner schools.
MCAC is a two-year commitment and a great full-time job opportunity for recent graduates, especially those interested in serving their community, the field of education, counseling, or going on to graduate school.
