Alan Knight, class of 2027, is from Naperville, Illinois, and is majoring in Political Science with a minor in Legal Studies in the College of Arts and Sciences. He is interested in judicial politics and bi-partisan policy solutions and is excited to work with cross-partisan political organizations to create a more equitable and transparent government in St. Louis.
WashU Votes Voter Engagement Chair
Alan has been involved with WashU Votes since the fall of 2023.
At WashU, Alan is also a staff writer for WUPR, a producer and photographer for Student Life, a tutor with Ninos Cambios Puertas, and a member of WashU men’s Ultimate Frisbee. In high school, Alan was involved with Junior State of America, a political debate and discussion group, as well as Illinois Youth and Government’s Judicial program where he currently serves as a Young Alumni Staffer.
Alan is interested in judicial politics, policy, law, and is dedicated to improving voter outreach efforts within and outside of the WashU community. This semester, Alan is excited to implement new tabling strategies and increase the efficacy of WashU Votes’ engagement efforts.
