Artist Statement

Throughout my life, I have always collected little things. A claddagh ring my mother gave me as a baby, my wisdom teeth, burnt matches, a love for tomatoes, the memory of re-stringing a guitar with my dad. Some of these things are sentimental, some of them I cherish because they are easily cherishable. This makes me the cat, who has (metaphorically) eaten these things and is running away with them. They will always be a part of my makeup, I have ingested them in my mind and moods and I am always running with them and being inspired by them. The little things I collect tend to define me, which I don’t mind at all.
