Fox-Clark Civic Scholar
Keona Dordor ’24 is a Fox-Clark Civic Scholar from Ghana and Tennessee. She is majored in urban studies, and double minored in religious studies and writing in the College of Arts & Sciences.
Her Civic Summer was spent with Greenwood Cemetery Preservation Association, a historic Black Cemetery. She worked to document tombstone locations, engage with library and museum archives to revive stories, and stage maintenance events.
She is currently working on a long-form journalism piece about the preservation efforts, the people buried at Greenwood, and their family members who discover their loved ones are located there and seek to pay their respects. After graduation, Keona hopes to work in writing at a literacy nonprofit.
