Sonal Churiwal, Class of 2026, is from Atlanta, Georgia. She is double majoring in Political Science and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. She has been involved with WashU Votes since she first arrived on campus in Fall 2022, and is now serving at the Voter Engagement Chair.
Sonal believes in young people’s power to create change through activism and advocacy. She promotes this through voting and civic engagement through WashU Votes, as well as previous experience phone banking and ballot curing in GA Senate runoffs. Outside of WashU Votes, she is also involved in Student Union and the Asian Multicultural Council.
