Sophie Devincenti, she/they

Sophie Devincenti (she/they) is the Student Engagement Specialist at the Gephardt Institute. She graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in May of 2022, where she majored in Educational Studies and Studio Art with a minor in Writing. During their time at WashU, they were a Howard Nemerov Writing Scholar, a T.R.U.T.H. facilitator, and an avid printmaker.

Her journey with the Gephardt Institute began as a 2021 Arts as Civic Engagement resident fellow at the Center of Creative Arts (COCA). As a studio artist new to the world of theatre, they designed educational and justice-oriented art making activities as well as implemented accessibility and trauma informed practices in the Front of House. A year later in June 2022, she joined the Institute, bringing her passions for building an equitable, communicative, and creative space with her.
