Midwest Children’s Burn Camp (MCBC) is looking for volunteers to serve as Cabin Counselors during the week of July 25-August 2. Established in 1997 and open to children ages 6 to 17 who have experienced burn injury and smoke inhalation injury, MCBC helps campers discover that who they are on the inside is much more valuable than the scars they see on the outside. Burn Camp provides campers with life-long friends to share their journeys with as they get back to living. Campers attend at no charge thanks to generous community support.
Cabin Counselors are an integral part of the MCBC team. Counselors will be directly responsible for the campers at all times. Cabin Counselors must be at least 21 years of age. Counselors-in-Training must be at least 18 years of age. All applicants must submit to a background check before the start of camp.
If you are interested in applying, or would like more information, please contact the Burns Recovered office and ask for Madeleine at (314) 939-1550 or visit www.brsg.org.
