Welcoming Our Associate Director for Faculty & Academic Engagement

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Cathleen (Cassie) Power as our first Associate Director for Faculty & Academic Engagement. Cassie will start on August 21 and will serve as the Gephardt Institute’s lead on the vision, strategic expansion, and impact of academic community engagement. She will be available to work with faculty and leadership across all seven academic schools – at both undergraduate and graduate levels – to assure robust and high quality opportunities for faculty and student engagement in the community through Community-Engaged Teaching.

Previously, Cassie served as Associate Professor and Community Engaged Learning Manager at the University of Utah’s Division of Gender Studies, and as Associate Professor at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah. She earned her PhD in Social Psychology and Women’s Studies from the University of Michigan.
