The Engage STL grant provides up to $500 for a group of students to attend a community event, visit a cultural institution, or get to know a local neighborhood, with the goal of understanding St. Louis’s history, culture, politics, opportunities, and challenges.
These grants are available to undergraduate/graduate students. Student awardees must submit all reimbursements prior to graduation.
Up to $500 for a group of students to attend a community event, visit a cultural institution, or get to know a local neighborhood, with the goal of understanding St. Louis’s history, culture, politics, opportunities, and challenges.
Event, institution, organization, or neighborhood must be located in the bi-state metropolitan St. Louis region.
Applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate student enrolled full-time at Washington University in St. Louis during the time the Engage STL Grant is awarded .
Application must be for a group experience with no less than 4 but no more than 10 students.
Examples of eligible proposals:
- A tutoring group wants to explore the neighborhood surrounding the school they tutor in, to get a better understanding of their student’s home
- A cultural group funds transportation to attend the Festival of Nations
Submit a brief online project overview.
Schedule a proposal review meeting. Following the submission of the project overview, our St. Louis Impact Fund Assistant will reach out and arrange this meeting.
If approved, applicant will be invited to apply using a link supplied by the Gephardt Institute.
